Biography: Thomas H. Davenport is a partner at Ernst & Young's Center for Information Technology and Strategy in Boston, Massachusetts. He is responsible for the research and multiclient program activities of the center and also participates in selected consulting engagements. Prior to joining Ernst & Young, he was director of IT research at McKinsey and Index Group. He has taught information technology management at the Harvard Business School, Boston University School of Management, and the University of Chicago. Davenport has published widely in the IT and general management press, including the
Harvard Business Review,
Sloan Management Review, and
Management Review. He is also the co-author of
The Information Imperative.
