Biography: Pierre Dussauge is Professor of Strategic Management at HEC, the leading business school in France, and also holds a visiting appointment at the University of Michigan Business School. At both schools he teaches the core strategic management course in the MBA program as well as a popular elective on strategic alliances and joint ventures. He is author and co-author of many journal articles and of several books, including
Les Strategies d'Alliance with Bernard Garrette, which won the coveted McKinsey award for the best management book published in France. As a consultant and a management educator, he has worked with such companies as IBM, Unilever, Mars, American Airlines, Lyonnaise des Eaux, Gemplus, Schneider, Usinor, Matra, and Andersen Consulting.
Bernard Garrette is Associate Professor of Strategic Management at HEC, and Visiting Professor at the London Business School. His research interests focus on global strategic alliances between rival firms. He has published in numerous journals and co-authored several books including
Les Strategies d'Alliances with Pierre Dussauge and
Strategor, the leading strategic management textbook in France. He has also acted as consultant or management educator to several large multinational firms, including Aerospatiale, Danone, HP- Foods, SNCF, Andersen Consulting, Home Shopping Service, CM-International, and the French anti-trust agency.
