Biography: Shona L. Brown is a consultant with McKinsey & Company, where her work spans multiple technology-based and consumer-focused industries. Dr. Brown's expertise is in the management of innovation, strategy, and marketing in highly uncertain, rapidly changing markets. She received her Ph.D. in strategy and organizational theory from Stanford University. She also holds an M.A. in economics and philosophy from Oxford University, where she studied as a Rhodes scholar, and a B.Eng. In systems and computer engineering from Carleton University.
Kathleen M. Eisenhardt is a professor of strategy and organization at Stanford University, where her work focuses on management in fast-paced, highly competitive industries. Her awards include the Pacific Telesis Foundation Award for her ideas on fast strategic decision making, the Whittenmore Prize for her writing on organizing global firms in rapidly changing markets, and the Stern Award for her work on strategic alliance formation in entrepreneurial companies. Professor Eisenhardt has consulted for a number of firms, including Hewlett-Packard and Intel. She earned her B.S. in mechanical engineering from Brown University and her Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.
