Biography: Stuart Wells is Professor of Organization and Management at San Jose State University, where he has served as Director of the Center for Global Competitiveness and Director of the Small Business Institute. As founder of the Leading Edge Consulting Group and cofounder of Corporate Wisdom, he has worked on leadership development strategy issues with such major corporations as Clorox, Crown-Zellerbach, Dupont, Pacific Telesis, PepsiCo, and Proctor and Gamble. He is the author of
From Sage to Artisan: The Nine Roles of the Value-Driven Leader and developed several assessment instruments to analyze individual and team preferences for the nine roles described in the book.
He has also consulted with numerous international agencies?UNESCO, U. S. Agency for International Development, Stanford Research Institute, National Institute for Education, and the Federal Council for Science and Technology as well as several governments throughout Africa, Asia, and Latin America. In conjunction with this work he has authored 6 books and more than 20 articles.
He has a Mechanical Engineering degree from the City University of New York and an MBA, MA in Economics, and Ph.D. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and Department of Economics.
